To kick start a new adventure for the George and Abbotsford, we have designed an accessible and easy to understand platform to showcase all that we have to offer. Our contemporary website will be regularly updated to keep everyone informed of our latest news and events to ensure nobody misses out.
Taking over the George and Abbotsford are Midlothian based couple Dawn and Graham, who are fulfilling a long nurtured dream of running a successful and welcoming hotel and bar. With a background in management and the culinary industry, they are primed and ready to grow, nourish and showcase the best that the George and Abbotsford has to offer Melrose and the surrounding area.
Breathing new life into each of the hotel’s 32 rooms, each room will be freshened/brightened up over the following months to showcase that standard that we expect throughout the entire hotel. Each room will have brand new tea and coffee making facilities, crisp new bedding, linen and towels.
